Making A Clean Sweep of Success

Glenda Jackson's janitorial business has grown by leaps and bounds, or more appropriately, mop buckets and brooms, since she launched the company five years ago.

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Jackson's GA Janitorial currently employs about 56 people and pulls in revenues in excess of $1 million.

One of the ingredients to which Jackson's phenomenal success can attributed is the in-depth research that she performed in the early stages of planning her business.

Jackson attended seminars and spent a solid year seeking out information that would help her start and run a small business.

In addition to her meticulous research, Jackson also sought out organizations that offered certification to, and set aside contracts for small businesses.

It was through one of these organizations, the Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business program, that Jackson was able to secure a contract that put her company over the $1 million revenue line.
